Short term Accommodation

MDSIA provide support up to 5 people living in the community, this can be funded through the clients NDIS package, self funded or through other government funding. Again clients of the service are given the choice of what staff they would like working in their home, and the support they receive is based on the needs and wants that they identify in a Lifestyle support plan that is tailored by themselves with the Client Coordinator. The aim of Short term accommodation is to give assistance to clients to enable them to develop skills to enhance their independence.  Staff are to assist and support in developing skills and not to take tasks from the client and do them without the client’s involvement.Services that a Short term Accommodation client may have are;

  • Hygiene Support
  • Community Access
  • Assistance with general light house hold duties
  • Life skills
