The night was a great success largely due to the support from the community and our major sponsors Ideal Placements, Regional Insurance Brokers, Payne Print, Zinc 101.9 and Dalrymple Bay Coal Terminal. Renovations for Para-villa

At the start of 2010 MDSIA began fundraising for Para-villa, which needed major renovation after being used for supported respite or transitional accommodation for over 27 years. After four years of fundraising we were able to complete most of the renovation in 2014 which included new bathrooms, a veranda to able clients to go outside and a fresh coat of paint to bring the house back to life. Without the help of the community and the major sponsors below none of this would be possible.

Wheelchair Accessible Bus

In 2008 MDSIA was able to raise enough money to purchase a wheelchair accessible vehicle for the residents of Para-villa and others clients in the community. Having an accessible vehicle has opened up many opportunities for the residents and clients that were not available to them. A big thank-you to all the following sponsors who made this possible: Westof Mining Services, Mackay Stickers & Signs, Carlisle Motors, Steel Pacific, JJ Richards & Sons, Porters, Barbeques Galore, Hatfields, Camping World Mackay, Mackay Cable Services, Mackay Car Wash

The bus requires ongoing funds to maintain and to pay for repairs and we are looking for new sponsor to advertise on the bus to cover these. If you are interested in sponsoring this service or getting involved in any of MDSIA’s future events or projects please Contact us
